mother's day, prom, and date night!

May is such a busy time of year!  We celebrated

Mother's Day with my mom.  We had a wonderful

seafood dinner....shrimp cocktail, clams casino,

ceasar salad, twice baked potatoes, king crab and 

chocolate cake with strawberries!  Yum!

Rachel is on her 8th grade trip to NYC!  She is

having such a great time.  They have gotten to

see so much.  They went to Ellis Island and went

up the Statue of Liberty.  They went to China

Town and Little Italy.  They saw West Side Story

on Broadway.  They visited the American Museum

of Natural History and the Metropolitan Museum

of Art.  They went to the top of the Rock!  (the

observatory at Rockefeller Center).  They saw

Blue Man Group last night.  They went to Times

Square, the UN and Grand Central Station!  

They kept them very busy.  Can't wait to see her

 and hear all about it.

Last night AJ had Prom!  He is on the Prom Committee so

yesterday morning we went to the place that they had

it and helped decorate.  It looked great and it was a 

lot of fun.  Here are a few pics from Prom.

So, with no kids in the house we had date night at home! :)

I love cooking good food for us.  I used tomatoes that

we canned last year for a seafood sauce.

Then we made brushetta!
